12-9-13 I am doing this research to gain more knowledge on the topic of suicide. i have always wondered about suicides because it is such a horrific thing. It is also sad but it is interesting to understand the reasons behind and other peoples point of views on it.

I think i know that people commit suicide because they are unhappy with their lives. i think that i know that people don't usually realize when people are depressed and are on the verge of committing suicide. i think i know that many people self harm themselves i know some people that used to and i am always there to help them. i also think i know that people are usually depressed when people commit suicide.

11-18-13 i always wanted to learn more about suicide. i want to know what pushes people to commit. i also want to know how people who know some one who is depressed and is contemplating suicide doesn't realize that they are in that mind set.

11-15-13 What confuses me is that I always wondered how things became brought about in the world. it is a very vague thing to say or ask such as how did the Earth come about the scientific way. Or how did the first people come about but the scientific way not the religious way. I always was confused about how languages came about and why certain languages are in different parts of the world. I always think about this and i know there aren't any specific answer for my questions, or any question that has to do with the past of that time period.
I also always wondered how different races came about. Such as the religious way was that Adam and Eve were the first people on Earth, how did they create different races from just two people from the same race. All these types of questions confuse me. Also how did people choose last names in the past i know now everyone comes from someone born into a last name or married into a different last name. but how did these last names come about.
Also what else confuses me is how do the people know how to make the machines to make products. Such as the intricate machines to make every day items, like the machines in the show How Its Made.

11-6-13 todays class i started the next step to the class work which was to read articles about your topic and answer the questions about the article. I picked my first article and began to read it.

11-4-13 In this class I concluded that there will be both facts and opinions about committing suicide. Also I spoke about why this topic of committing suicide would have been written about prior to me writing about it, because of other peoples experiences or loved ones that have committed suicide. I also acknowledged that there will be needed more then just simple facts to answer my questions about this topic. Also that there is no yes or no answer to answer my questions about this topic of committing suicide.

11-1-2013 In this class I made a plan that i have to look up back ground information on committing suicide. I also made a point that I will find sources that will back up and counter claim my view on committing suicide. I also came up with a question about committing suicide which was what perspectives are there on the topic of committing suicide. I am still trying to figure out a certain age group to research that commit suicide or a certain reason for people to commit suicide to research. I was thinking of victims of sexual abuse or rape victims. But I'm still undecided.

10-30-13 In this class I started the second part of class activity 2. I chose the main topic that I want to research which is suicide. I answered my personal connection questions due to my topic and realized I have always wanted to learn more about suicide. Also the stories that i have heard of people committing suicide interest me even though they are very sad I want to understand why they do this act and what pushes them to commit. I also want to know what goes through peoples' minds when they are about to commit. I also did the background information part where I would like to read what psychologists have to say about people committing suicide. also because i am taking the college now course of psychology and would like to know what psychologists say.

10-28-13 Today's class I finished majority of the first part of the class activity 2. I read the other paragraphs for the other topics that I have chosen. I have answer all the other questions along with the paragraphs about each topic. These questions helped me decide which topic I want to make my main topic to research.The question made me think deeper into each topic and want to know more things about each topic.

10-25-13 In this class I started class activity 2 and finished one topic's questions. I read a  paragraph about the topic that i have chosen and answered the questions along with the paragraph from the SIRS researcher. I think these questions that I had to answer were helpful in deciding if i wanted to use that topic as my main research topic. These questions based on the topic I chose made me think of things I didn't think of before and made me realize different things about the topic.

October 23rd. In todays lesson still a continuation of classwork 1 I realized that the sentences that I am filling in and the questions that I am proposing about the topics I have picked can help me in my other classes and later in life by stating more specific things about each topic so I can research them better. It will allow me to research other topics in everyday life to a better extent then to how I normally do. It allowed me to think of the intellectual side of the topic and how the topics connect to me.

Mondays, October 21st, lesson of continuing Classwork number 1 helped me realize my connections with the topics I picked such as sperm donors. I have a connection with sperm donors because I have a family friend whose son is from a sperm donor. that lesson also allows me to realize other aspects to researching a topic such as why I'm interested in that topic and what I want to know more  about the topic. It also let me propose questions that I would like answers to pertaining to the topics that I have picked.

When was the last time you were assigned a research project? In what subject was it? What did you do? How did you feel about it? What did you think about it? Was it hard? Easy? Interesting? Boring? The last time i was assigned a research project was in Junior year. The research project was assigned in my English class. The research project was based on the novel "The Great Gatsby". Every student had to pick a topic she presented to us and i picked gender roles. In the research paper we had to use examples from "The Great Gatsby" and we had to look through databases to find more sources to use in our research paper. I didn't think the research paper was hard it was just a long project and took a lot of time, but we did most of it in class. After i was done with the research paper i was satisfied with how it came out because i put a lot of work into it and received a good grade.
